Here we are again! Year 8!! Who knew???
Today we left Ohio for Frankenmuth, MI and chugged our way north for about 4 hours. On the way we made our yearly stop at the Michigan Welcome Center and then the Dundee Cabela’s. The kids LOVE (insert tons of sarcasm here) all the pictures I take on these trips!! Here are some of the fun ones!

Next we stopped at Bronner’s Christmas Store to pick up our 2019 ornaments and I spend time drooling over the Christmas village houses I want every year to start my collection. The boys enjoyed some Christmas cookies while they waited for their ornaments to be personalized.
Next we stopped at our hotel: the Bavarian Haus which we had to drive over a covered bridge to reach! It has four pools, water slides, putt putt golf, Pizza, you name it! The boys loved it. We had a beautiful view of the river too!
Finally our day ended with dinner at Zhender’s Chicken and a run through the rain back to our room where we had some free pizza, mozzarella sticks and cheese curds!! Great first day!
