Off to Ireland

It’s Saturday and time for us to fly to Dublin from Munich. The airport is way outside the city, so we took cabs out to fly Aer Lingus into Ireland. Of course we needed two to fit everything and everyone, but we made it!

Off to the airport

Now the Munich airport did not offer much in the way of food, so it was quite the junk food buffet to get us through to Dublin!

Here we go taking our bus out to the tarmac

Once we landed in Dublin, we grabbed cabs into the city to easyHotel Dublin. On the way there we saw several accidents that really backed up traffic. Driving in Ireland is no joke-just ask Joe!

Behind the train is a smashed car. He did not win that battle

EasyHotel is by far the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, but it had a good location and was clean. Winning!

That’s it!
I was afraid I’d roll out the window into the street🫣

After cleaning up we were off to Temple Bar area for some snacks before meeting up with Caroline, Pat, and Karen; these were all classmates of Joe’s from his time at UCD. We stopped at Bad Bob’s for some appetizers and drinks before our reservations at Porterhouse for dinner that night with the gang. We had nuggets, potato skins, and a few drinks to start the night.

Next we headed over to Fitzsimmon’s Pub to listen to live music and check out the rooftop bar. It was packed so we headed downstairs where some dancing took place!

Now Jake, Diana, and I walked Seamus and Amanda back to the hotel. We came right back after dropping the kids off safely to rejoin the fun!
